Dark sayings refer to riddles, parables and figurative language, used by GOD to convey something mysterious or something previously mysterious. It is essentially wording that obscures intent and is meant for those that are part of GODS’ family, who search for the meaning. It is also meant for those that are not part of GODS’ family to give warning for the intent of reconciliation.

The other thing dark saying, riddles, parables and figurative language is used for is when GOD speaks to HIS prophets. According to Numbers 12:6, HE reveals himself to HIS prophets in a vision and speaks ro them in a dream. We are in days similar to the days of king Ahaz in Judah. He and the people feared because of the threats of King Peka of Israel and Rezin, king of Syria. The LORD sent the prophet Isaiah to Ahaz, telling him not to fear; that the plans that these two had would not stand. Though they planned to remove Ahaz and replace him with a king they chose (the son of Tabeal), they would not succeed.
